Mindcage Escape is a Romanian progressive metal band formed in Bucharest in 2012. Over the years, the band has gone through several lineup changes, with founding members Iulian and Valentin remaining from the original lineup. They were joined by Ștefan and Bogdan in 2017, while Radu completed the current lineup in 2019.
The band’s live debut took place in 2014 at the fourth edition of Black & White Motor Fest, organized by Chopper Academy MC Romania, followed by an appearance at the Posada Rock 2014 festival competition.
Also in 2014, Mindcage Escape independently released its debut EP, Straitjacket, featuring the band’s first three original songs. In 2016, they contributed a cover of “This Life Is Running Out” to the tribute album Goodbye to Gravity – Back to Life, released in honor of the Romanian band Goodbye to Gravity.
