Subvolt launch: Breathelast, ohhimark and RawKing at Encore

We kicked off 2026 by celebrating 10 years of The Interwission and announcing a milestone that means a great deal to us: the launch of Subvolt, Romania’s first agency dedicated exclusively to the rock and metal underground.
A small step for the local scene, but a huge one for us.
We want to celebrate this new chapter with our friends and with all of you who have supported us throughout the years. This first event is an opportunity to meet, celebrate together, and set the stage for everything that’s still to come.
The artists joining us for this special night couldn’t be more fitting—they represent friendship, community, and the people who have stood by us from the very beginning.
Breathelast
Breathelast hardly needs an introduction. Like many of you, we’ve long considered them one of the defining bands of Romania’s underground scene. They supported us from our earliest days without ever expecting anything in return, and this is our chance to thank them and show them that their support truly mattered by having them with us as we launch this new journey.
Their performance perfectly embodies what an opening band should be, combining raw energy, emotion, and a rebellious spirit wrapped in a sound that challenges the contemporary status quo.
Throughout the years, the band has explored a wide range of musical directions, including compositions in Romanian. Their EP Maluri, released through Universal Music Romania, marked an important turning point in that evolution. Their discography includes the self-titled EP Breathelast (2013), the split release The Flood with Cap de Craniu, the Maluri EP, the full-length album All Of This Amounts To Exactly Nothing, Until You Throw It All Away (2018), and their first entirely Romanian-language album, Marea Ascunsă (2025).
ohhimark
We’ve known the members of ohhimark through previous projects such as Red Magnetic, Axial Lead, and Blame Hofmann, so inviting them to be part of this lineup felt like the most natural choice.
Their appearance is especially meaningful because the band returns to the stage after a long hiatus with a new lineup, brand-new material, and plenty of excitement. Expect not only their signature progressive sound but also fresh surprises—including some you’ve never heard before.
Formed in Bucharest in 2017, ohhimark is a Romanian-French band blending progressive rock, post-rock, alternative metal, and shoegaze. After releasing the music video for “Paragon” in 2021, they independently released their debut album, What We Can’t See, later that same year. Following a break and several lineup changes, the band returns with new music and an updated sound inspired by artists such as Agent Fresco, Karnivool, Sleep Token, and Tool.
RawKing
Choosing RawKing was just as natural. George recently joined us at Subvolt, while already being part of The Interwission team. Not long ago, he launched RawKing, and ever since, the band has been tearing through clubs across Bucharest—with the rest of the country next on the list—bringing an infectious hunger to perform and an incredible amount of energy.
If ohhimark might have you counting odd time signatures, RawKing is where the mosh pit begins. Space permitting, of course.
RawKing is a hardcore punk/crossover band tackling social and political issues, aiming to light a fire beneath the comfortable seats of decision-makers after years of injustice and inequality. Its members have previously been involved in projects such as Psychogod, Blacksheep, Mindcage Escape, and Hatemode. So far, RawKing has shared the stage with bands including Implant Pentru Refuz, Diamonds Are Forever, Exuviath, Bossferatu, and Hiraeth.
